AI Driven Brain Tumor Segmentation and Analysis
I created an AI detection tool to identify intracranial tumours like Astrocytomas and glioblastomas. I learned different AI imaging methods and utilised a dataset of 4715 native T1 MRI images from 152 patients. Through using python code, I created a detection tool to create an efficient and accurate way of identifying brain tumours.
I have been involved and been learning robotics concepts since a young age. From attending classes to participating in competitions, I have always had a deep interest in robotics.
Merging this passion of mine with medicine, I got interested in the intersection of AI and Medicine. To learn more about how the two are correlated and how each of them contributes to or complements the other, I joined the Veritas AI Deep-dive into AI and Medicine. Through this 10-week course, I learned about aspects of neural networks, forms of imaging, and coding in Python to create tumour detection programs.
I learned about image segmentation, regularisation, and convolutional neural networks in this course. I also interacted with students worldwide to create a neural detection software.
