Harshita Jinaga

Passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, my lifelong aspiration has been to pursue an education and career in medicine.

My academic journey thus far has provided me with an opportunity to build a solid foundation in the sciences, encompassing biology, chemistry, mathematics, and others. My internships with educational institutes (IITs), doctors, and hospitals have exposed me to clinical trials, research processes, medical procedures, and compassionate care extended by healthcare professionals, strengthening my determination to create a positive impact in the community.

Beyond academics and internships, I have authored research papers, held leadership roles in multiple Student Government and Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, and engaged in several community service initiatives. These experiences have taught me the importance of commitment and enabled me to hone essential skills, such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.

As I move to the next stage of my academic journey, I look forward to immersing myself in pre-med courses, capitalizing on research opportunities, and enhancing my understanding of the correlation between AI and medicine. My ultimate goal is to specialize in Oncology to address critical challenges and improve patient outcomes, building a healthier tomorrow for cancer patients and survivors.
